Cleaning

  • Vacuum loose dirt and dust as needed. This will reduce the need for professional cleaning.
  • Spot clean only if needed. Ingrained or wet stains require specific care and attention.

Accidents

  • If any liquid spills, immediately soak up with a soft absorbent cloth. Do not let them dry as they may set in the fabric. If stains remain for too long, they will be harder to remove.
  • Be prepared with a suitable water based wool detergent to promptly address minor stains before they become ingrained.
  • You can use a damp white cloth or a small amount of gentle dish detergent solution to tackle stains caused by greasy foods or makeup if you don’t have wool cleaner. Always test in an inconspicuous area.
  • For significant spills and noticeable stains, we recommend bringing your furniture items to a specialist. They have the expertise to conduct dry cleaning processes that remove dirt and stains without risking damage to the furniture.

Best Practices

  • Minimize exposure to direct sunlight. This will help preserve the color vibrancy of your piece. Wool, being a natural material, is more prone to gradual color fading compared to synthetic fabrics.
  • Keep away from rust prone surfaces. Due to the porous nature of this material, it will absorb rust which is not usually removable.

Avoid

  • Avoid using colored cloths if spot cleaning. They may transfer onto the fabric.
  • Bleach, ammonia, or any other harsh chemicals will cause permanent damage to the material.
  • Don’t vacuum using an attachment with a rotary brush, which may damage the fabric.
  • Don’t over apply water or any liquid solution.
