Who is Qubik Furniture, and do you have a physical store? Where are you based out of?

Qubik Furniture, founded in early 2023 by an Interior Designer in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, aims to make contemporary and classic designed furniture and accessories accessible to all. We offer high-quality reproductions and original contemporary designs at significantly lower costs, eliminating the barrier of high prices associated with design patents. Our belief is that affordability should not compromise one's taste in design and style.

We do not have a physical store, and operating exclusively online allows us to pass on savings to our customers, making exceptional furniture attainable for everyone.

As we look to the future, we aim to invest in research and development to create our own unique furniture line. Our mission will be to address the impacts of disposable "fast furniture", which is easy to obtain at very cheap prices, but then often left abandoned or in land fills. Stay tuned and join us on our journey as we strive to bring this ambitious project to life.

As a small company, we wear many hats to ensure the smooth operation of our business. Offering phone support at this time would be challenging for us to manage effectively. However, our chat feature enables us to provide prompt and personalized assistance during our regular business hours. Additionally, we answer queries outside of business hours through our chat feature.

We understand that many of our customers browse and shop outside of traditional business hours. Therefore, we strive to remain accessible during these times. Please note that response times may be longer outside of our standard business hours. We will use the contact info provided to contact you at the earliest convenience, should we not be available. Depending on complexity, if we're unable to answer your question on the spot, it is our promise to at the very minimum, acknowledge your question, and get back to you with the answer ASAP.

Are any of the pieces sold designed by Qubik Furniture?

Currently we only sell furniture items from our Canadian suppliers.

A word on the future of Qubik Furniture: As a new company with a strong background in interior design, our goal is to add our own unique furniture line to our offering in the future.

What is the difference between a reproduction and an original, and why are the reproductions significantly cheaper?

Some of the most popular furniture pieces on the market today were predominantly designed by famous designers between the 1930s and 1970s. During that era, designers relied on, and transferred the copyrights to the industrial furniture manufacturers who produced their creations. These manufacturers were authorized to sell the products as "original" pieces. Today, these manufacturers continue to produce furniture under the designers' names and market them as "originals" leading to exorbitant prices.

We offer premium reproductions curated from our Canadian suppliers that are not licensed copies, meaning they do not bear the original designers' names, thus allowing our prices to be much lower. Any reproductions sold on our site, to the best of our knowledge, are replicas of classic pieces whose rights have expired and fallen into the "public domain."

Are all reproductions the same? How do they differ from others?

No reproduction is the same, unless of course from the same manufacturer. Our competitors may possibly be sourcing from suppliers who use different materials and manufacturing standards. You will also
notice that the details are different, and it can range from types of woods or veneers used, plastic, metal, or fabric quality. How the pieces are manufactured and joined together also plays a key role in the solidity of the pieces, and unfortunately the reality is that some manufacturers may favor finding the easiest, cheapest way to build something over ensuring its long-term quality.

What is Handcrafted Contemporary?

Our Handcrafted Contemporary line consists of furniture pieces created using high-quality solid woods such as Mango Wood and Acacia Wood from southeast Asia. These beautifully crafted pieces are produced by skilled artisans in India and Indonesia.

Where are the products made?

Most products are from Asia (such as India, Indonesia, China, Vietnam & Malaysia), however some products are also made in Canada, United States and sometimes Europe.

It's important to understand that provenance from an Asian country does not mean it's poorly made or of low quality. In fact, many companies in these countries operate with high-end machinery and robotic
equipment, ensuring precision and efficiency in production, effectively contributing to the competitive pricing of products without sacrifice in quality. Additionally, the frequency of shipments often make manufacturing costs more affordable.

My package has other brand names on it. Why is that?

We only sell products from our reliable network of Canadian suppliers, and ship directly from our suppliers' warehouses. By doing so, we are able to take advantage of their preferential shipping rates, and absorbing those costs, passing the savings to you. Not to mention the ecological impact of shipping to an additional warehouse, storing it, then shipping it once more.

Our suppliers warehouse their items in Canada obtained directly from the global factories they own or collaborate with. Because of this, the suppliers' branding is almost always on the package, and sometimes there is also the branding of the factory as well.

We stand by our suppliers in using the original packaging provided, in order to minimize unnecessary costs and waste associated with re-packaging. Again, not to mention the ecological impact of doing so.

All of these factors contribute in offering our customers high-quality items at competitive prices. Rest assured, regardless of any other brand names you see on the package, all products we sell meet our quality standards.

Is there any assembly required?

Many Items are made ready to assemble, as this saves greatly on shipping costs. Any assembly needed is not nearly as extensive or complicated as some well-known furniture brands, and can be carried out with simple household tools.

I'm interested in an item sold as a set of 2 or more, is it possible to purchase just a single item and not the set?

Unfortunately, that is not possible. Some items are sold in sets of 2 or more as they come from the supplier that way. Please ensure that you read the product descriptions carefully. Qubik Furniture promises to clearly indicate how many products are included per shipment.

Do you offer customization on any items?

Our collection of Rugs are available in other sizes upon request. If you are looking for a smaller or bigger size, reach out to us by chat or e-mail at info@qubikfurniture.com to let us know which model you are interested in, and we will get back to you with additional options, and customized pricing.

At the moment we do not have the manufacturing capabilities to customize any furniture, lighting, or decor products.

What currency are prices displayed in?

All prices displayed on our website are in Canadian dollars (CAD$).

Which payment methods are accepted?

We accept most major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover). It is also possible to pay online with Interac. We are happy to also offer additional payment methods such as Paypal, Google Pay,
Apple Pay, Shop Pay, & Diners Club.

We have also partnered with Klarna - Flexible Payments* to offer a flexible way of paying in 4 equal installments (learn more).

Do prices include taxes?

Prices shown are not including taxes. Taxes are added at checkout on all sales within Canada.

- As we are incorporated in the province of Québec, all customers from Québec pay GST and QST.

- Customers from Ontario, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island pay HST

Is shipping free?

Yes, we offer free shipping on all items to all 10 Canadian provinces. We do not ship to the Canadian Territories, and certain conditions apply to remote areas. How will my order be shipped?

Depending on which product(s) are purchased, your order will ship through various Leading North American Carriers. See Shipping & Delivery for more details

How long should I expect for delivery times?

Shipping times will vary depending on the type, weight, and size of the product, as well as the final destination. See Shipping & Delivery for more details

How can I track my order?

Once an order is dispatched, you will receive an email with your tracking number and a link to the carriers website which will allow you to track your product. Please note that if you purchase two or more different items, they may come from different warehouses, which means you may get more than 1 tracking number per order. For example, our rugs and our lighting come from different suppliers, so if you were to order a rug and a lamp, you would receive 2 different shipments, thus receiving 2 different tracking numbers.

Will I have to sign for my delivery?

In most cases for Parcel shipments, the carrier will require a signature, but sometimes it’s not necessary. This is at the discretion of the Carrier.

For LTL shipments, a signature is required, as this is the proof you received the package in good condition, or in other rare cases, that you received the item but it is damaged. This facilitates the return process and claim with the carrier. See Returns for more info on damaged or defective products.

Can I change my shipping address after I placed my order?

We strongly urge all our customers to make sure that the shipping address provided is accurate, and that you are sure you want your items shipped to this location. If for whatever reason you need to change the shipping address, it will be time sensitive, and we must be notified within 24 hours asking us to make the change with the order number and relevant product indicated. Please note that Qubik Furniture does not guarantee that the change can be made, as items may already be processed or picked up by the delivery carrier.

What should I do if I received a damaged or problematic order? Do you accept returns for an item that I don't want anymore, or that I don't like?

We don’t accept returns due to buyer’s remorse or personal dislike. While many sites advertise ‘no questions asked’ return policies, returns often involve the customer arranging and paying for shipping, which is very costly for home goods like furniture and may incur restocking fees of up to 20% or more.

Are your products covered by a warranty?

Most products have a 1 year warranty with the manufacturer. This will be indicated on the product page of the specific product on our website.

Most small decor items do not have any warranty, but can be returned if damaged upon arrival. This is always indicated on the product page in question.

If you would like to request a warranty claim, please send us an e-mail to info@qubikfurniture.com and send us 3 pictures of the damage or defect in question, briefly explaining the issue. We will take it from there and resolve the issue.
